Since the biopic on cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma announced, Aamir Khan was considered as the first choice of the role but he opted out of the film for some unknown reasons. After that Shah Rukh Khan came into the picture and now Aamir Khan in the recent interview revealed that it was he who suggested Shah Rukh's name to the makers.
"It is a great script. I loved the script and the story of Mr Sharma is fascinating. It is true that I called up Shah (Shah Rukh). I said, 'Shah you should hear the script, it is fantastic. It will be right for you, if you like it'. I am glad he liked the script and he is doing it," Aamir Khan told PTI.
Mahesh Mathai directorial this will tell the story of Rakesh Sharma, first Indian to travel into space. Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala are producing the film and it will be made under the banners of Roy Kapur Films and RSVP Films, respectively.
When the film was supposed to be made with Aamir Khan at that time Priyanka Chopra was considered the leading lady, but as soon SRK made an entry in the project she left the film. Then even Kareena Kapoor Khan was considered for the leading role but now finally Bhumi Pednekar has finalized for it. The film will on floors from early next year and official announcement also be made same.
