The Great India Laughter Challenge to Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon - Kapil Sharma's journey from a stand up comedian to an actor

The theatrical trailer of Kapil Sharma's upcoming comic caper Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon will be launched at an event in Mumbai on 13 August, following which it will be uploaded across the digital platform. The film marks the debut of Kapil Sharma in Bollywood.

Who is Kapil Sharma?

Kapil Sharma started off as a stand-up comedian on reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Following the tremendous attention he got on the show, he was roped in by Sony for Comedy Circus. With his unique way of delivering dialogues, Kapil became a brand and started his own show Comedy Nights with Kapil which is the most viewed comedy show on Television.

Initially, Kapil Sharma was supposed to be launched by Sohail Khan (Ex-Comedy Circus Judge) in a film titled Sher Khan starring Salman Khan. However, the film never went on floors.

Post Sher Khan, Yash Raj Films signed a three film deal with Kapil Sharma and he was supposed to debut in a film directed by Bumpy title Bank Chor. Due to some technical issues between Kapil Sharma and Yash Raj Films, Sharma decided to break the three film deal and he finally went ahead to sign Abbas - Mustan's Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.

Who all are a part of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon?

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon marks the return of Abbas - Mustan who are known to direct edge-of-the-seat thrillers in the comedy genre after Shah Rukh Khan's Baadshah (1999).

The film stars Kapil Sharma in main lead, while Elli Avaram, Manjari Fadnis, Sai Lokur and Simran Mundi will be seen as Kapil Sharma's love interest in the film. The movie also stars Arbaaz Khan, who will be portraying the character of a deadly villain who ends up making a joke of him.

The movie releases on 25 September 2015.
