Kabali vs Sultan: Hold your breath! Eid 2016 may see a Box Office clash between Salman Khan & Rajinikanth

The much-anticipated Box Office clash between Salman Khan's Sultan and Shah Rukh Khan's Raees may have been averted. But if reports are to be believed, something bigger may be in store.

According to latest updates, the makers of the Rajinikanth-Radhika Apte film are eyeing Eid 2016 as the perfect release slot. While this had been previously reported, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Kabali, which is set to release in Hindi and Tamil simultaneously, features superstar Rajinikanth playing an ageing don. The film is being promoted as Rajinikanth's comeback film - considering that his last offerings, Lingaa and Kochadaiiyaan, failed to impress the Box Office.

The teaser of Kabali has broken the record set by that of Sultan. The teaser has already garnered over 4 million views in under 24 hours of being released on YouTube. The teaser of the Salman Khan film garnered 3 million views in 24 hours.

While the makers haven't announced the release date for Kabali yet, it had always been implied that the film would hit the silver screen around June or July. But news of this possible Box Office clash between two of the country's biggest superstars is bound to add fuel to the anticipation surrounding both films.
