Shah Rukh Khan is now returning to a realistic space: director Aanand L Rai

Known for massive hits like Tanu weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, director Aanand L Rai is currently not just working on the script of his next film but also on the visual effects to ensure that Shah Rukh Khan looks like a convincing 'little person' in his next film. 

While interacting with The Hindu, Aanand L Rai said,

"He (Shah Rukh) has a great understanding of cinema and people. I connect very well with him. He is a star and can choose what he wants to do but now he is returning to this realistic space."

The director hinted that even the female lead in the film will be a 'little person'. The film is a love story, according to the director.

"All I can say right now from the director's perspective is that it is a love story of two incomplete people but with a fun element," said Rai.

The director has earlier revealed that his yet-to-be-titled film will go on floors in December 2016. Produced by Eros International, it will hit the silver screens in Christmas 2017.
