Shah Rukh Khan's Fan witnessed a drop of 20 per cent on its second day, 16 April, as it raked in around Rs 16.50 crore at the Box Office.
The 15 April Ram Navami holiday helped the film put up a decent show at the mass centres on its release. However, the dip in number was evident on Day 2. The collections at a mass circuit like Central India (CI) stood at Rs 36.50 lakh on Saturday as against Rs 59.50 lakh on Friday. Likewise, collections also dropped at other circuits like Punjab, Rajasthan and the Gujarat Belt.
Day-wise Box Office collection:
The film is currently riding on the strength of multiplexes, which will help the film put up a good show on Sunday and record a decent total at the Box Office.
The film is now eyeing the Rs 55 crore weekend mark, which would be lower than the weekend collections of Shah Rukh Khan's last film Dilwale (Rs 65 crore).
The jump on Sunday and the hold on Monday will decide the fate of the film. However, the fall on Saturday has made it evident that film has been received with mixed response by the audiences.
The budget of Fan is Rs 105 crore inclusive of print and publicity. Around Rs 75 crore worldwide share would ensure recovery for Yash Raj Films.
