Shahid-Pankaj, Amitabh-Abhishek and others: 5 Shaandaar real life father-son duos in Bollywood films

Shaandaar, Vikas Bahl's next offering after his 2014 hit Queen, has caught the eye with its just released trailer. The film that stars Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor is a romantic drama set against the backdrop of a destination wedding.

The buzz about the film includes its trailer, its cast, a scene with Alia Bhatt in a bikini, and its story-line. But it's also in the news because father and son Pankaj Kapur and Shahid Kapoor are acting together for the first time.

However, this is barely a first for Bollywood father-son duos to have shared screen space. Here are five such examples who have entertained us over the years.

1. Rishi Kapoor-Ranbir Kapoor

The characters played by father Rishi Kapoor and son Ranbir Kapoor were also father and son in the 2014 Bollywood film Besharam. This was a family affair, actually. Ranbir's mother Neetu Singh also played his mother in the film.
