Quick quiz: What's different between a Shahid Kapoor wedding and your shaadi? Disappointing answer: not much, if you're a Delhiite. Here's why the Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput affair has been just another #BigFatPunjabiWedding.

1. An over-the-top wedding card

It's hard to be understated and over-the-top at once, but this card managed. A summer-fresh colour palette of florals in blue and yellow - picked, according to card-designer Ravish Kapoor by Shahid - were accompanied by handcrafted chocolates from superb Delhi home-bakers Smitten. "The credit for colour combination goes to Shahid as he was very particular about colours. From the peacock logo to the font, everything was chosen by Shahid." (PTI)

2. It's a full week of sleepless nights

Indian weddings are never a one-day affair. However, after the media hullabaloo over the duo's engagement early 2015, they secretly tied the knot. But that didn't stop them from going the extra mile with other events. From the customary mehendi, haldi, sangeet, to the upcoming wedding reception, all functions have been traditionally in place. Their sangeet even had the couple performing to Shahid's popular numbers including 'Sari Ke Fall Sa,' 'Raat Ke Dhai Baje', 'Mauja Hi Mauja' and the like.

3. A venue fit for royals

For a Delhi wedding, the venue is no less significant than the bride and groom. And so, the Kapoor-Rajput wedding will take them to Oberoi Gurgaon, no less.

That apart, as many as 50 rooms have been blocked for the 'close guests' at Oberoi Trident. The presidential suite of the luxury hotel that is booked for the groom boasts of opulent modern art, and everything from a dining room, study, pantry, gym-cum-yoga room to an outdoor pool (as per Oberoi's official website).

4. A wardrobe full of designer wear

From Mira Rajput's cheery yellow Anamika Khanna lehenga at the sangeet, to her rumoured trousseau for the post-wedding celebrations made by the same designer, there has been much talk about her attire.Shahid, on the other hand, was seen sporting a maroon bandhgala suit designed by close friend Kunal Rawal. As per the grapevine, a total of 10 outfits have been designed for the couple.

5. A starry wedding reception

The most Facebooked part of a Delhi wedding, receptions are often a gala affair with many attending.Shahid's baraatis, for instance, includes his three mothers, namely his birth mother Neelima Azim, father Pankaj Kapoor's wife Supriya Pathak and Vandana Sajnani, who is the current wife of Azim's ex-husband.Apparently, there are two wedding receptions planned for the newlyweds. The first dinner will be at The Ballroom in Oberoi Gurgaon, followed by one which is expected to be a complete Bollywood party in Mumbai.
