After garnering acclaim for their performance in Badlapur, Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are set to collaborate on the big screen once again for the remake of Ittefaq produced by Shah Rukh Khan.

Like Badlapur, this time too, the duo will star in a thriller, a remake of Yash Chopra's iconic Ittefaq - which starred Rajesh Khanna. Varun Dhawan will reportedly reprise Rajesh Khanna's character of a passionate painter while Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play a police officer.

The Ittefaq remake will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment - who acquired the remake rights to the murder mystery a while ago. While there were initial reports that Shah Rukh Khan would star in the film, King Khan is tied up with multiple acting assignments.
