Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmavati postponed again

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Padmavati starring Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone has postponed again until April 2018. Earlier, the film was supposed to release on 17th November 2017.

The reasons behind the delay in the release of the film are - special effects and shooting of some scenes of the star cast. Currently, Bhansali's production house has not confirmed the news but the media sources are saying that the film is not in the situation of getting released on slated date.

According to the sources, now the team will decide a release date in April 2018 because the team is targeting holidays in that month. The film is being made in the budget of 150 crores and that's why the makers are thinking of recovering at any cost from the film. The post production of the film will also take a long time and there are many war scenes in which they will use the high VFX.

This is to notice that this film is a biopic on warrior Queen Padmavati and Deepika Padukone will be seen in the leading role of the film. Shahid Kapoor is playing her husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh is playing villain Alauddin Khilji. Aditi Rao Hydari is also playing leading role in the film. The film is facing problems since its pre-production time, earlier there had been troubles in finding producers and then the film faced some opposition for its plot.
