Sanam Re was intense, but Junooniyat is about celebrating love, says Yami Gautam

After Badlapur and Sanam Re, Yami Gautam is now gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Junooniyat. The Vivek Agnihotri-directorial, which also stars Pulkit Samrat, is reportedly based on true incidents.

In an exclusive interview with Catch, Yami revealed that she heard the script of Junooniyat before Sanam Re and that she thought it was a beautiful love story. She said:

"I heard the script of Junooniyat before Sanam Re. It is a simple beautiful story where the major reason for the conflict is love. It is a film based on true story and is set against the backdrop of the Indian Army.

Sanam Re was a very intense film while Junooniyat is about celebrating love. It has different kind of music suitable for different situations. The love story has a realistic backdrop. I hope that the audience likes this film and that it is a success."

The movie is slated to release on 24 June 2016.
