Salman Khan is promoting brother Sohail Khan's next directorial, Freaky Ali, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arbaaz Khan and Amy Jackson.
The film, which is about a layman's discovery about a golfer in himself, is drawing appreciation for being a simple, fun film. It is evident with the trailer that Nawaz has emerged a complete surprise as a comic actor.
While the film looks interesting, its performance at the Box Office could be impacted by the fact that the Katrina Kaif-Sidharth Malhotra starrer Baar Baar Dekho is releasing on the same day.
Nitya Mehra's debut directorial film is releasing on 9 September, with Freaky Ali and a new Box Office tussle is on the horizon. However, Salman Khan seems perfectly unperturbed.
During the launch of the trailer, when asked about the clash, the superstar said there's no clash according to him. He said the audience would like to watch both films as both look equally entertaining. His statements from the event read:
"There is no clash at all. We hope the Katrina-Sidharth film also does well. I think both films have got the theatres. Both are different kinds of movies so I am sure the audience is going to see one and then the other. Now, which one they prefer to see first is left up to them."
He also underlined the bonhomie with the makers of Baar Baar Dekho and said:
"Farhan Akhtar (Baar Baar Dekho's co-producer) is like a kid brother to us, he is the son of Javed saab (Javed Akhtar was Salman's father Salim Khan's scriptwriting partner). We want both the films to do well."
