So, why did Salman Khan call Kangana Ranaut?

Bollywood actor Salman Khan recently gave a phone call to actress Kangana Ranaut.

According to the rumour mill, Salman Khan convinced Kangana Ranaut to do Nikhil Advani's Katti Batti.

Turns out the rumours were right this time! While promoting the film on radio, Ranaut accepted that Salman Khan had called her and that they had a word over the film.

Calling the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor her trusted 'friend', here's what she said about the entire incident.

"He (Salman) didn't have to convince me, but he called me to tell me about the script. After Queen, I was flooded with female-centric film offers. Naturally, my priority was towards movies that have me in the central character. I would not have given it a thought. But I don't know what instincts Salman had, he is a friend and I trust him."

Katti Batti stars actor Imran Khan opposite Kangana Ranaut and the film discusses the subject of live-in relationships. It is releasing on 18 September, 2015.
