There have been speculations that the release date of Shah Rukh Khan's Raees might be pushed to 29 July, to avoid a clash with Salman Khan's Sultan on the day of Eid. This would mean that Raees would end up releasing on the same day as Dishoom.
However, producer of the Varun Dhawan-John Abraham film, Sajid Nadiadwala believes that the clash won't happen.
While interacting with media earlier today, on being asked to comment on the speculations, the producer-turned-director said:

"Dishoom is releasing on 29 July no matter which other film comes out on that day. July is a special month as two of my most successful films, Kick, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi released in July."
Sajid also feels that the clash won't happen since Dishoom releases on a non-holiday and it would be difficult for the audience to watch two films in the same week. He said:
"I don't think Shah Rukh will clash Raees with Dishoom. There is no Eid or Diwali that two big films will release on same day. You are asking me to comment on a hypothetical situation that if Raees is postponed and if it will release on 29 July, what would I do?"
