Sad! Ajay Devgn's father and action director Veeru Devgan passes away

If reports to be believed Ajay Devgn has lost one family member today morning. Ajay Devgn's father and filmmaker Veeru Devgn passed away today. According to media reports, Ajay's father Veeru Devgan died due to cardiac arrest and it is being told that he was ill since a long time. Recently, Ajay Devgn also cancelled his film 'De De Pyaar De' promotional events because of his father's health.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh informed about it on Twitter, by tweeting, "Veeru Devgan passed away this morning [27 May 2019]... Father of Ajay Devgn... Veeru ji was an accomplished action director... Also directed #HindustanKiKasam, starring son Ajay with Amitabh Bachchan... Funeral will be held today at 6 pm... Heartfelt condolences to Devgn family.''

 

Veeru Devgan was a popular action director of the film industry and he had done work in several big hit films like Himmatwala, Dilwale, Shehanshah. In most of the 80s film, Veeru Devgan designed action scenes. Veeru Devgan started his career in 1974 and till 90s end he was active action director in the film industry.

Even Ajay Devgn got his first film Phool Aur Kaante because of his father. Actually, there is an interesting story behind his casting, as earlier there was some actor who was supposed to do that film but as he didn't made on the las day. Then Veeru Devgan called his son to act in the film.
