Rs 8.46Cr for Phantom on Day 1, huge jump expected today

Kabir Khan's Phantom, starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif had a decent opening as it raked it around Rs 8.46 crore day one.

Considering the genre, the film was never expected to open big at the Box-Office. Though it had a slow start in the morning, business picked up tremendously from the evening shows. Majority of the business is coming from the metros while the collection at the mass centres is dismal. The initial audience feedback is positive, which should boost its prospects given that it is the weekend.

A good jump today followed by a steady Sunday and decent business through the week can make Phantom a clean hit as it is made on a tight budget of Rs 50 crore.
