Robot 2.0: The Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar film to release in Diwali 2017?

One of the most-awaited films of 2017, Robot 2.0 directed by Shankar is currently being shot at Taramani Film City in Chennai. The Akshay Kumar - Rajinikanth film is reportedly eyeing a Diwali 2017 release.

The film, which will shot on a massive budget of Rs 350 crore, is expected to wrap up by August/September 2016, following which the team will work on the post production and visual effects.

Reportedly, the film requires one year of solid post production as the director plans to take the visual effects to a different level. As the film will be completed only by August/September 2017, the makers have plans to release it on Diwali, 19 October, 2017.

In the film, Akshay Kumar will be seen essaying the character of a scientist who turns into a crow because of a failed experiment, whereas Rajinikanth will essay the iconic character of Chitti, yet again. Robot 2.0 also stars Amy Jackson and it will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
