Raveena Tandon’s film to clash with Sonakshi Sinha's Noor

Raveena’s film Maatr to release next month

 Raveena Tandon is making a comeback of sorts with her film Maatr this year. The actress was last seen in a cameo role in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet two years ago. In Maatr, Raveena has a full fledged role. Raveena plays a mother and the film deals with violence against women. The film also stars Madhur Mittal in a negative role and is directed by Ashtar Sayed. The film is all set to release on April 21.

 The actress revealed the first poster on Women’s Day and the teaser will be out soon. The  film will end up having a clash with Sonakshi Sinha’s Noor. Noor is an adaptation of Pakistani writer Saba Imtiaz’s book Karachi: You’re Killing Me. It shows her journey as journalist in Mumbai. It is directed by Sunhil Sippy and the makers had announced the release date a while ago before the makers of Maatr.

 It is said that Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakaandi, directed by Akshat Verma too is expected to release on same day, there is no official announcement yet
