Rajkumar Hirani is currently busy completing New York schedule of Sanjay Dutt biopic with Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. The makers were initially wanting to release the film around Christmas this year along with Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai. There were many reports suggesting that the film might release on Eid next year ,But recently there was news that Ranbir and Hirani want it to be released in March, however, the latest reports suggest that it will be indeed released during the Eid weekend next year.

Incidentally Salman Khan’s ABCD 3 too is slated to release on Eid next year, although he is yet to begin shoot for it. Remo D’ Souza recently announced that Salman will play the lead and Jacqueline Farnandez has been cast opposite him in the film.

Salman and Ranbir have never really shared a great rapport, especially after Ranbir and Katrina started dating each other. On the other hand Sanjay Dutt and Salman’s relationship is said to have lately become sour. tSo will Ranbir and Dutt take on Salman on Eid or not that is not clear.
