Ayan Mukerji breaks silence on Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt superhero film

Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji's next is a superhero film with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

While reports about the film have been making the rounds for a while now, Mukerji recently told a leading daily that the film will be completed next year.

The director, whose last on screen offering was the superhit Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani in 2013, also spoke of plans to start shooting for the film by the end of the year.

"My film is on. We are looking to start shooting by end of this year. It's an adventure fantasy or a modern day fairytale. It's a film that is set in contemporary India but there is a hint of some ancient Indian magic," he was quoted as saying.

The leads, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are currently occupied with multiple projects. While Ranbir Kapoor is busy with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Jagga Jasoos, Alia's next films include Udta Punjab and Walk And Talk with Shah Rukh Khan.
