Ae Dil Hai Mushkil recorded a healthy trend in its opening week as the film raked in around Rs 6.18 crore on Thursday, taking the seven day total to Rs 80 crore.
The film fared best in tier one cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata throughout the week, proving that it hit the right chord with the target audience. It enters the second week with almost similar shows all across because of no competition from new Hindi releases.
Day-wise Box Office Collections:
- Weekend: Rs 53.35 crore
- Tuesday: Rs 13.03 crore
- Wednesday: Rs 7.63 crore
- Thursday: Rs 6.18 crore
- Total: Rs Rs 80.19 crore
Thanks to the tremendous pre-release revenue from satellite, music and good performance in India as well as abroad, the makers are already in the green zone. The film has come as a respite for Ranbir Kapoor who has delivered a clean hit after three long years.
Given the star-cast i.e. Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai, as well as the credibility of Karan Johar, the collections might seem to be on the lower side. However, as far as the financial viability is concerned, everyone associated with the film will make money.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is now heading to breach the Rs 100 crore mark at the Box Office which should happen by Monday or Tuesday.
