India's biggest motion picture Baahubali is all set to release in China in November 2015, that too on 5000 screens thus equaling Happy New Year's screen count. This will break PK's record, which was seen across 4600 screens in China and grossed more than Rs 100 crore in the country, thereby setting a record for an Indian film on foreign shores.

Just like PK, E Star will release Baahubali in China and the company is expecting great numbers. Francois Da Silva, the head of E Star, said, "Baahubali has achieved so many things and acquired such a special position in Indian cinema. We are fortunate to release this film in China."

Top 5 Releases in China:

  • Baahubali - 5000 screens
  • Happy New Year - 5000 screens
  • PK - 4600 screens
  • Dhoom 3 - 2000 screens

Directed by S.S.Rajamouli, Baahubali stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tamannah Bhatia in pivotal roles. The film had a record breaking release in India and is one of the highest grossing films of all times in the country.

The Hindi version of Rajamouli's magnum opus became the first ever dubbed regional film to make an entry into the Rs 100 crore club. Before PK, Dhoom 3 also did great business in China. However, Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year failed to put up a show there.

It will be interesting to see the kind of reception Baahubali gets in the Chinese market as the film has been appreciated across the globe.
