Raees to release in Pakistan. Will Shah Rukh Khan challenge Salman Khan's record?

Shah Rukh Khan's (SRK) gangster drama, Raees directed by Rahul Dholakia is set to release in Pakistan after its release in India on 25 January 2017.

According to a trade site based in Pakistan, Box Office Detail, the movie is set to get a wide release in the neighbouring country. Raees would be the first Bollywood film to release in Pakistan after the URI attacks.

The highest grossing film of all time in Pakistan is Salman Khan's Sultan which raked in around Rs 35 crore. Given the presence of Mahira Khan and the 'muslim centric' character, it would be interesting to see if Raees manages to challenge the records set by Sultan.

Apart from Raees, the makers of Kaabil are also looking for a release in Pakistan. Both the movies will be distributed by Eveready Pictures in Pakistan.
