Baahubali 2 release date out; clash with Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar's Robot 2 in the offing?

The release date of the second installment of filmmaker SS Rajamouli's blockbuster Baahubali is out. The film is set to hit big screens on 14 April 2017, which happens to be the Tamil New Year, that falls on a Good Friday. With these dates, the film is expected to rake in more moolah at the Box Office.

However, there can be a development that could spoil this grand plan. According to the buzz, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer Robot 2 is also expected to be released around the Tamil New Year. Now that Baahubali 2 is releasing during this period, curiosity around Robot 2's release date increases.

It is more likely that the two films may not clash at the Box Office considering that they are two mega budget films; Baahubali: The Conclusion is costing between Rs 170-180 crore and Robot 2 around Rs 350 crore. It would be of a great loss to the industry if the two films face a Box Office clash.
