Partner 2 in the making! Salman Khan may make a special appearance in the comic caper

The 2007 blockbuster Partner starring Salman Khan and Govinda is set to be made into a franchise.

According to a leading trade magazine, Eros International has roped in director duo Sajid - Farhad for Partner 2 and the two are currently working on the script. The makers have plans to replace Salman Khan and Govinda with two others actors - an older actor and one from the younger generation. However, details have been kept under wraps as yet.

Sources also reveal that a special cameo for Salman Khan is already being planned and the production house will approach the superstar with a bound character in place. Sajid - Farhad have directed films like Entertainment and Housefull 3 starring Akshay Kumar.

While Housefull 3 managed to emerge a Box Office hit, Entertainment ended up being an average grosser. Given their loyalty towards Akshay Kumar, it will be interesting to see if they approach the star to essay one of the two main characters in the film.
