Navratri celebration has started with full zeal and zest across the country. During the nine-day long festival, devotees worship Goddess Durga and pay an ode to nine forms of Maa Durga.

To celebrate the auspicious festival, some observe fasts while some organize overnight prayers (jagran). Many people also celebrate it by performing Garba dance and also participate in dandiya competitions. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, this year's festival is not the same as the previous but we could make it memorable by following some COVID norms.

Amid the festive season, the government has asked people to stay indoors or follow the COVID-19 precautionary norms like wearing a face mask, social distancing while stepping outside.

Though, the government has banned commercial or traditional street garbas, including the Garba nights. But this doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate the festival with your family or friends.

To make this year festival more special, devotees can celebrate the Navratri by staying indoors and perform Garba or play dandiya with their family members. Therefore, take out your Garba and dandiya outfits and dance with a smaller group of your folks on the popular Bollywood beats.

We have created a Bollywood playlist for you that you can play while doing the Garba or dandiya dance at your home while maintaining social distancing.
