The theatrical trailer of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story starring Sushant Singh Rajput garnered over 16 million views, becoming the most-watched Bollywood film trailer. The response to the trailer has been overwhelming, ensuring a big opening at the Box Office on 30 September, 2016.
Staying true to the tagline of the film 'The Untold Story', director Neeraj Pandey has shot the film at real life locations to make the journey of one of India's most successful captains look authentic. The director has not just shot for the film at MS Dhoni's real house where his parents and brother live currently but also where the skipper used to stay in Ranchi.
The team also shot for the film at the station where Dhoni was the ticket collector along with the railway head-quarters which he shared with four others. A portion of the film where Dhoni's educational journey has been shot is DAV public school, Ranchi, where captain cool used to study.
Produced by Fox Star Studios, the biopic hits the big screen on 30 September, 2016.
