Post the failure of Brahmotsavam, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu will start shooting for his next film from July that will be directed by AR Murugadoss. The film, which will be made on a budget of over Rs 100 crore, will be set in Mumbai and carry a subtle social message.
According to media reports, Murugadoss is in talks with Akshay Kumar to play the negative lead in yet untitled film. Akshay has already worked with Murugadoss in Holiday and has also revealed that he has no apprehensions to work in South Indian films.
The movie will be a trilingual project and will simultaneously release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Murugadoss is also in talks with Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra to essay the female lead in the film. Though Mahesh has a reasonable fan following among the Hindi audiences, the film would mark his debut as a Bollywood actor.
Apart from this film, Akshay Kumar will be seen as a super villain in Rajinikanth's Robot 2.0. which will release in 2017.
