Krrish 4: Will this Hrithik Roshan film give India a new female superhero?

Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan are gearing up to start work on Krrish 4, the fourth installment in the India's only superhero franchise.

While the first film in the series, Koi Mil Gaya, starred Preity Zinta in the lead, the sequels, Krrish and Krrish 3, starred Priyanka Chopra.

According to the latest update about the franchise, director Rakesh Roshan is keen to experiment with a fresh pairing for Krrish 4. Reports suggest that Krrish may be accompanied by a female superhero.

Work on the script is currently underway. And Rakesh Roshan has hinted at the possibility of roping in an A-List actress who can pull of the action sequences with conviction. He said:

"A superhero like Krissh, needs a super heroine, nothing less. No ordinary mortal. Someone who can fly, fight and save the world in one breath, figuratively speaking of course. And all our top rung actresses are more than super heroines. As to who it will be finally saving the world with Krissh? Wait and watch. That's a secret for now."

Krrish 4 is expected to go on floors in 2017. The makers are looking at a late 2018 release.
