Kahaani 2 vs Dear Zindagi clash averted! Shah Rukh Khan - Alia Bhatt film gets a solo release

The release date of Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani 2, starring Vidya Balan in the lead, has been postponed. This means that Shah Rukh Khan - Alia Bhatt's Dear Zindagi directed by Gauri Shinde will be able to enjoy a solo release on 25 November.

Sujoy Ghosh told a leading daily that a Box Office clash would not translate well for either film. He also expressed his excitement about the Shah Rukh-Alia film.

"There is another week after 25 November, so there is no point on releasing it on the same day. I want to see Dear Zindagi first day first show," said Sujoy.

The social media promotions of Dear Zindagi are currently underway. The team of the film have promised to surprise fans on 19 October 2016.

The trailer of the film is expected to be screened along Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Directed by Gauri Shinde, Dear Zindagi, also stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Ali Zafar, Kunal Kapoor and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles.
