Kabir Khan's Phantom to be a song-less thriller, just like his debut Kabul Express

The makers of the film Phantom have released Afghan Jalebi, a promotional song featuring Katrina Kaif. However, Afghan Jalebi will not be part of the film, which, like Neeraj Pandey's Baby before it and Khan's own debut film Kabul Express, will be without Bollywood's usual song-and-dance sequences.

This is because, like Kabul Express and Baby, Phantom is a thriller that needs the story to unfold at a certain pace, without distractions.

The film, starring Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif and Gulshan Grover, is about world terrorism and the after effects of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The film releases on 28 August.
