Kaabil trailer review: Hrithik Roshan's sweet tale of revenge

The theatrical trailer of Hrithik Roshan-Yami Gautam's much-anticipated film, Kaabil is out.

While the premise of the Sanjay Gupta directorial seems similar to Aamir Khan's Ghajini, it is the presentation and characterisation that makes the difference. The film is set against a realistic backdrop which does not demand grand scale production.

Dialogues like "Hamari Duniya Se Jyada Andhera Toh Aapke Law and Order Main Hai" grab instant attention.

The trailer breaks several stereotypes in terms of portrayal of visually impaired characters in Hindi cinema. Both Hrithik and Yami are seen as an independent young couple who spend the best time of their life by being together.

If the trailer is something to pass a judgment by, the film seems to be high on emotions and strong on content with the conventional Indian cinema trappings in the form of 'revenge'.

The theatrical trailer will hit the digital platforms on 26 October 2016 at 10 am. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Kaabil releases on 26 January 2017.
