A couple of days back, we reported that the music rights of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Tubelight, is sold to Sony Music for a record breaking amount.

And now we hear that the music label has acquired the rights for Rs 20 crore which is much higher than Khan’s previous musical drama, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The amount fetched by the film is one of the highest of all time and sources reveal that the music album of Tubelight has merely 3 songs.

A source says,

“Kabir Khan is not a huge fan of forcefully inserting songs in the screenplay and believes in a situational music. The story of Tubelight revolves around several relationships and the script demanded merely three songs.”

The music of Tubelight is composed by Pritam who is currently banking high on the success of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

In the other news, the theatrical trailer of Tubelight is expected to be out in second week of May and the team is currently working on the post production of the film which includes editing, VFX and background score. The marketing team has planned a flat 40 to 45 days promotional campaign that would kick-start with the trailer launch in May.

Directed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight releases this Eid.
