John Abraham's Rocky Handsome had a fair start at the Box Office as the film raked in around Rs 5.29 crore on its opening day.

While the John Abraham film took advantage of the Good Friday holiday in the morning shows, it could not sustain the momentum in the evening and late evening shows.

Here's a breakdown of the collections of the film:

Mumbai (Rs 1.60 crore), Delhi-UP (Rs 1.21 crore), Punjab (Rs 0.37 crore), CP (Rs 0.38 crore), CI (Rs 0.23 crore), Rajasthan (Rs 0.27 crore), West Bengal (Rs 0.24 crore), Bihar (Rs 0.23 crore), Assam (Rs 0.06 crore), Orissa (Rs 0.9 crore), Tamil Nadu & Kerala (Rs 0.09 crore), Mysore (Rs 0.22 crore), Nizam (Rs 0.30 crore).

While collections at mass centres like CP, CI and Rajasthan are just about okay, the business of Rocky Handsome is affected at the multiplexes because of the clash with Batman V Superman.

Day-wise Box Office Collection:

  • Paid Preview: Rs 1.84 crore
  • Day One (25 March) : Rs 5.29 crore
  • Total: Rs 7.13 crore

While the film might witness a small routine jump on Saturday, the collections will take a hit on Sunday owing to the India vs Australia ICC World T20 match.

Rocky Handsome has garnered mixed to negative reviews. The collections on Monday will determine the fate of the film. The film has been made at a budget of Rs 43 crore - inclusive of print and publicity and going by the collections so far, Rocky Handsome will prove to be a safe bet for producer, John Abraham, but may result in losses for the distributors.
