Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput announced the birth of their child, a girl, on Friday, 26 August 2016.
News of the newborn took social media by storm. While fans flooded the timelines of both Shahid and Mira with congratulatory messages, Bollywood celebrities also sent out their best wishes to the happy family.
Stars like Ajay Devgn, Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh took to Twitter to wish the proud parents.

Shahid Kapoor got married to Mira Rajput in July 2015. During the promotions for Udta Punjabearlier this year, the actor confirmed that the couple were expecting their first child.
Mira was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on Thursday.
