Is Shah Rukh Khan looking for a solo release?

Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for his upcoming film for Anand L Rai. This yet to be titled film stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif along with Shah Rukh, who will be seen playing double role, where one of his character will be of a dwarf person. The film is expected to release in December next year and Shah Rukh is apparently willing to avoid a box office clash.

A source says, “Shah Rukh is keen to get a solo release for this film, as his last two films have not really done too well at box office. He does not want to have a box office clash with anyone and is ready to do anything to avoid it.”

Shah Rukh’s Raees which released on Republic day earlier this year with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil had to suffer at box office. Later Shah Rukh chose to move his release date to have solo release for Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal on Independence Day weekend and released it on August 5, but still the film could not earn well. Within a week Akshay Kumar’s Toilet-Ek Prem Katha released and Shah Rukh’s film faced severe competition at box office from Akshay’s film.

The buzz suggests that Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 4 might release in December next year, so there is a possibility that two actors will once again have a box office battle
