Is Aditya Chopra guiding Arjun Kapoor?

Arjun Kapoor made his acting debut under Yashraj banner in Ishaqzaade with Parineeti Chopra. The film went on to become a hit. Since then he was featured in two more films Aurangzeb and Gundey and it was said that his deal with the production house is over but the actor has bagged another film with them as head honcho Aditya is guiding Arjun in his career.

“Arjun’s last film Half Girlfriend did not do too well at box office, so he is taking his time to sign his next. Aditya and Arjun share a good bond too and since Arjun made his debut with same production house, he is taking guidance from his mentor while making his decisions about his future projects,” a source was quoted as saying.

Arjun’s last film was Mubarakan which also featured Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’ Cruz and Athiya Shetty. It is said that his uncle Anil had recommended his name for this role. Incidentally, Arjun’s next film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is once again with Aditya Chopra’s banner. The film is directed by Dibakar Banerjee and is slated to go on floor soon, release on August 3, next year.
