Irrfan Khan's Madaari was steady on Monday as the film raked in around Rs 1.60 crore, taking the four-day total to Rs 12.85 crore.

The Friday to Monday drop is merely 30% which is a very good hold for the film. Madaari has performed the best in the Mumbai and Delhi belts. The film was hit by the Kabali wave in southern markets whereas business at mass circuits was affected by Sultan, which is recording steady occupancy even in its third week.

Day Wise Collection:

  • Friday: Rs 2.25 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 3.50 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 5.50
  • Monday: Rs 1.60 crore
  • Total: Rs 12.85 crore

The word of mouth is fairly positive and the Monday collections have ensured that the film will sustain at the lower levels at the ticket window. The lifetime collections of Madaari will depend on the number of screens retained by it in the second weekend as the film will face stiff competition from Dishoom.
