Meghna Gulzar's Talvar showed yet another big jump at the Box-Office on Sunday as it collected Rs 3.50 crore on its third day taking the weekend total up to Rs 9.25 crore.

The movie got a small release in around 700 screens and the collections are fairly good considering the release size and genre of the film. The strong word of mouth is doing the trick for Talvar and the movie is all set to trend well at the Box-Office.

By showing a growth in collections on Saturday, Talvar became one of those rare films which showed growth in collections post a national holiday, an achievement in itself. Major collections for the film are coming in from Mumbai and Delhi.

Day wise Box-Office collections

  • Thursday (Paid Preview): 50 lacs
  • Friday: 2.50 crore
  • Saturday: 2.75 crore
  • Sunday: 3.50 crore
  • Total: 9.25 crore

The budget of Talvar is Rs 16 crore, including print and publicity. A lifetime business of Rs 24 to 26 crore will make Talvar a safe bet for everyone associated with the project and the same seems likely looking at the trend of the film at the Box-Office.
