Huma and Arjun’s films are releasing on the same day
Huma Qureshi’s film Dobaara, which also stars her brother Saqib Saleem and Lisa Ray and Adil Hussain, is set to release on May 19. The film is a remake of Hollywood film Oculus and it is for the first time that Huma and Saquib will be seen together in a movie. The film has been directed by Prawaal Raman. It was supposed to release last year in September but was pushed ahead and now the makers have announced new release date.
Oculus is the story of a brother and sister battling paranormal activity. Saqib and Huma will be essaying the characters played by Karen Gillan and Brenton Thwaites in the film. Oculus which was inspired a by short film was released in 2013 and received critical appreciation as well as earned good money.
On the other hand Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend, featuring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s book with the same name. Half girlfriend has been shot in New York, Cape Town and Delhi. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor and she had announced the release date long ago.
