Criticism hurts terribly: Abshishek Bachchan on haters trolling his performances

Actor Abhishek Bachchan is gearing up for the release of Housefull 3, the third film in the popular comedy franchise. However, it's not for the first time that the actor has taken up a comedy film. His characters in films like Happy New Year and Bol Bachchan allowed him to showcase his comic side.

From romance, action, drama to comedy, Abhishek has played a diverse range of roles. Yet, his 'acting prowess' is treated with a lack of appreciation. And all the public criticism does affect the actor.

While talking about Housefull 3 during the promotional campaign, Abhishek mentioned how negative comments on his performances affect him. He said:

"It does bother me. We are human beings. It hurts terribly. The sad thing is that you can get 100 compliments but that one criticism will ruin your day. As actors, when there is such a huge volume of love coming your way, we hold on to that one negative thought."

The actor, who will be seen co-starring with Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon in the film, also mentioned that it's a complete lie if actors say that they remain unfazed by criticism. He said:

"Actors would be lying if they say criticism doesn't bother them. I have never looked upon criticism as negativity. I take it as an advice."

While the actor has proven his mettle with films like Guru, and Paa, the pace of this success is not smooth. Let's see what wonders Housefull 3 does for him.

Directed by Sajid-Farhad, the film is slated for release on 3 June.
