Have Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif booked Eid 2018 for Tiger Zinda Hai?

Speed News Desk | Updated on: 11 February 2017, 7:46 IST

After Sultan broke records to breach the Rs 300 crore mark at the Box Office, Salman Khan and Yash Raj Films have teamed up yet again to make a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster, Ek Tha Tiger.

The sequel, tentatively titled Tiger Zinda Hai, will be helmed by Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar, who has replaced Kabir Khan.

The plot of the 2012 hit Ek Tha Tiger had an open ending. The main characters, Tiger (Salman Khan) and Zoya (Katrina Kaif) went missing from the radar of the RAW and the ISI at the end of the film. According to sources, this is where Tiger Zinda Hai will pick up from.

Like the first installment, Aditya Chopra will pen the script for Tiger Zinda Hai. Ali Abbas Zafar will look into the dialogues and screenplay.

With Salman Khan's other projects - his film with Rajkumar Satoshi and Dabangg 3 - being postponed due to script issues, the superstar is expected to start shooting for the film next year once he wraps up work on Tubelight.

Producers Yash Raj Films are eyeing Salman Khan's favourite release slot - Eid 2018.

Official confirmation from Yash Raj Films and Ali Abbas Zafar is still awaited.
