India and Pakistan have fought many wars since their independence however, the most dreadful and the shortest war in the history of all was the Bangladesh liberation war in East Pakistan.

The war started from 3rd December 1971 to the fall of Dacca (Dhaka) on 16 December 1971 i.e the war lasted for only 13 days where 9,000 Pakistani men were killed and almost 3,000 Indian soldiers were martyred.

The war ended with 93,000 Pakistani soldiers being captured by India as Prisoner of War (POW).
