Force 2: Vipul Shah to recreate parts of China in Hong Kong for John Abraham film

After Rocky Handsome, John Abraham is gearing up for another intense action film, Force 2, which is a sequel to 2011 hit film, Force. Starring Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead, the initial plan was to shoot the film in China.

However, producer Vipul Shah could not acquire the required permissions and hence, he has decided to recreate parts of China, including monuments in Hong Kong.

"We were liaising with a line producer in China for a long time. But the script has to be censored before permission is granted. There is an interesting angle on Indo-Chinese politics which they objected to. It's integral to the narrative and we didn't want to compromise on the script so we've decided to shift base to Hong Kong," read Vipul Shah’s official statement.

The next schedule of Force 2 kick-starts in May 2016 and the makers are expected to wrap up shooting for the film by the end of June. While most of the action scenes comprising John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha have already been shot, the final schedule will focus more on the talkie sequences.

Force 2 is slated to release in November 2016.
