Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, who has directed Katrina Kaif for the first time in his film Fitoor, says he is a huge fan of the Bollywood actor.

"She tries to prove all her critics wrong through her hard work. What more can she do as an actress? I am happy with Katrina's work," Abhishek said.

Fitoor is an adaptation of Charles Dickens classic novel Great Expectations and will have Katrina playing Firdaus, while Aditya Roy Kapur will portray the character of Noor.
Asked what prompted him to make this film, Abhishek said:
"I have never attempted a love story. I read this book a long time back and felt this is a story the Indian audience would love to watch. There is old school romance, pure love and heart break in it."
The film also stars Tabu, Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutta and Rahul Bhatt.

Fitoor will hit the theatres on February 12.
