Filmmaker Kabir Khan has wrapped up the Ladakh schedule of his upcoming film featuring Salman Khan -- Tubelight.

While he posted a photo of the team to announce the news on social media, another post of his wishing fans on Independence Day has something that might intrigue one.

This is what he posted:

Happy Independence Day from the team of #tubelight #Ladakh

In the photo, a man dressed in an army uniform has his back to the camera. That man in uniform seems like Salman Khan.

The grapevine is abuzz with the rumours that Salman will be seen playing the character of a simple-minded man who is mistreated by the society for being slow. However, with this first look, it seems that Khan will essay the character of an Indian soldier in the film.

Even the actor's look for the film -- military haircut and well-toned physique hint at the same.

Chinese actress Zhu Zhu has come on board for Tubelight.

Earlier, talking about the film, Kabir had said:

"It is about a personal issue. Can't talk about what exactly right now. Needless to say, my films always have a political backdrop to them because that's what excites me and I find real. So Tubelight also has a little political backdrop."

The political backdrop in question is believed to be the Indo-Chinese war.

While the rest of the cast is yet to be announced, Tubelight is set for a big Eid release in 2017.
