Farhan Akhtar goes all out to make sure Raees is a hit

After the last two flops, Farhan Akhtar is said to be banking heavily on Shah Rukh Khan's Raees making the cut at the box office.

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani, who are co-producing Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Raees which is set to release on Republic Day, are not going to leave any stone unturned for promotions of their film. A source says, "It is an important film for the producers as both their previous releases (Baar Baar Dekho and Rock on 2) did not manage to be hits. They have been conducting meetings with their marketing teams frequently and discussing various ideas on how to market their film well."

It is said that the makers have decided to spend some extra money, especially because their film is going to be clashing with Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil at box office. A source says, "The team has come up with many ideas to reach to the audience, apart from regular show appearances, media interactions and visits. They are ready to go the whole hog, as they are pinning a lot of hope on this one."

So far the film has managed to create a lot of buzz for various reasons, such as presence of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, box office clash, delays in release and the long weekend that they can cash in on.
