Did R Madhavan really walk out from Fanney Khan due to date issues?

The actor was in news to be cast opposite Aishwarya Rai in Fanney Khan.

The film, which will mark the reunion of Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai after Taal, was announced earlier this year by producer Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra. However, the actor will not be seen opposite her, but recently there was a competition between R Madhavan and Raj Kumar Rao as one of the actors was supposed to be cast opposite the actress.

According to sources, Mehra was keen to bring Maddy on board whereas, Atul Manjrekar the director of the film was impressed with the work of Rao. Finally, recently the makers roped in Rajkumar Rao while, in an interview, Maddy was quoted saying, "I loved the script and was really keen to be part of an interesting ensemble like Fanney Khan, unfortunately, I couldn't commit to the project due to date issues. I wish the team of Fanney Khan all the luck."

But, the latest we hear is that the actor had asked for a whopping amount due to which the makers had to rope in Rajkumar Rao.

Produced by T-series, Kriarj Entertainment, and Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra the cast has already begun shooting and the film is set to release in April 2018.
