Dear Zindagi: Shah Rukh Khan is 'life coach' to Alia Bhatt in this Gauri Shinde film

Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt's Dear Zindagi, directed by Gauri Shinde has been in the news ever since its inception. Rumours regarding SRK's character in the film were in full swing with people even reporting that the actor is playing a guide in the film.

However, while the King Khan quashed these speculations, here is a new update about his pivotal role in Dear Zindagi.

According to a report in a leading daily, while Alia Bhatt plays the protagonist and the plot revolves around her life, Shah Rukh too holds a substantial screen space of 30 minutes in the film. Now whether he has a constant half hour of screen space or whether these minutes have been divided into chunks appearing every now and then in the film is still unknown.

However, what we know is that Shah Rukh's character is that of a man who is constantly guiding Alia through the highs and lows of her life. The report quotes a source saying:

"It's completely Alia's film and it revolves around the different relationships and changes in her character. SRK plays her life coach and his character will eventually bring about a change in her."

It should also be noted that Dear Zindagi has a multi-star cast. While Aditya Roy Kapoor will be seen as a furniture dealer in the film, Ali Zafar will essay the character of a passionate musician who is equally passionate about love. Angad Bedi and Kunal Kapoor will be seen as a restaurant owner and film producer, respectively.

The film marks the second on screen outing of English Vinglishdirector, Gauri Shinde.
