The theatrical trailer of Aamir Khan's much-anticipated film, Dangal directed by Nitesh Tiwari was unveiled on 20 October. The 3 minute, 25 second-trailer focuses on the emotional aspect of the Phogat family's struggle to bag acclaim in the international wrestling arena.
The trailer manages to set the tone of the film, an earthy, wrestling drama about an underdog family set in rural Haryana. Since the story of the Phogat family is well-known, the trailer does not spring any surprises. However, it manages to pique interest and build anticipation.
Over the last few months, Aamir Khan made headlines for his physical transformation for the role of Mahavir Phogat. His work appears to have paid off as he looks convincing as the fiercely-ambitious Haryanvi wrestler and Olympics coach.
