A lot has been said about Salman Khan's Dabangg 3. Speculations are rife that even as the third instalment of the successful franchise will go on floors next year, Sonakshi Sinha will no longer be a part of the action entertainer.

In an interview for the promotions of her upcoming film, Akira, on being questioned about her involvement in the film, Sonakshi said,

"The script is not in place as they (makers) are still working on it. I haven't died in Dabangg 2. Rajjo (Sonakshi's character) will always be Rajjo, irrespective of how they take the story forward like either there are additions or subtractions made to the cast. If there is Rajjo's character in Dabangg, it will always be played by me."

The actress also credited her existence in the film industry to Dabangg and revealed that she would be okay even with a special appearance in Dabangg 3.

"Even if they (makers) need me for guest appearance I will still do it. I am what I am today because of Dabangg and because of my role in the film. It's my first film and character, and I will always be grateful and loyal to that film. There is lot of speculation happening... One day the media writes I am doing it other day it (story) says I am not doing it. There is no conversation about Dabangg 3 between us (Salman, Arbaaz and I) as the script is not ready. So I would request the media to stop speculating. When the time is right, producer Arbaaz will say it."

Dabangg (2010) and Dabangg 2 (2012) were declared blockbusters by the trade upon their release in India.
